Today is the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” Day to raise awareness about the danger of heart disease for women. Heart disease is the biggest killer of American women, but only 13% of women know it's their top health threat. One woman dies every minute from cardiovascular disease (CVD) — more than the combined deaths from all cancers, chronic lower respiratory disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and accidents. 42 million women are currently living with heart disease in the United States.
